My thanks to you, Jesus Christ, my Lord,
give me a pure heart that I may see You,
a humble heart that I may hear You,
a heart of love that I may serve You,
a heart of faith that I may abide in You
Dag Hammarskjold
Most merciful redeemer, friend and brother,
may I know You more clearly, love You more dearly
follow You more nearly, day by day
Richard of Chickester
| Lord ... breathe
upon us the Spirit of peace ... prepare us to be bearers of reconciliation ... wherever you place us, until the day when a hope of peace dawns for our world.
|
| God of Mercy, grant
that the Word you speak today may take root in my heart to bear fruit to your honor and glory. Help me to be an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where there is sadness, joy. For the sake of Jesus Christ our Lord. |

| Almighty God ... we
rejoice in the richness of your creation, and we pray for your wisdom for all who live on this earth, that we may wisely manage and not destroy what You have made for us and our descendants. In Jesus' name we pray.
|
Praise be my Lord for all those
who pardon one another for love's sake ...
Who endure weakness and tribulation;
Blessed are those who endure peaceably, for You ...
Blessed are those ... in Your most holy will ...
Praise and bless the Lord ... give thanks,
Serve the Lord with humility.
Francis of Assisi

| We pray
... peace not violence ... oneness with creation ... to love ... and make a difference ... to ... be ... experienced by all people ... the eagle will carry our prayer for peace and love ,,, people of the red, white, yellow, brown and black communities can sit in the same circle together ... to ... communicate in love ... and ... experience the presence of the Great Mystery in their midst. A thought for today
|
Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing. Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away. When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known. And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love. 1 Cor. 13 |
"before you call, I will answer
while you
are still speaking, I will hear"
Isaiah chapter 65, verse 24
|
Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. AmenGospel of Matthew, ch 6, v 9 - 14 |
